My story and origin of Imagine Bee
My lifelong passion for art and design began with my beloved grandmother, Beatrice—"Bee," as we affectionately called her. She nurtured my creativity from an early age, sharing her love of visual art, design, and the joy of making something meaningful by hand. Her encouragement planted the seeds for a creative journey that has spanned more than three decades.
Today, I am an illustrator, graphic sign designer, printmaker, and art instructor whose work is inspired by memories, nature, treasured objects, family traditions, and the stories that connect us. I believe art is more than something we create—it is a way to preserve moments, reflect on experiences, and discover meaning in everyday life.
My heart remains devoted to graphic design, watercolor and water media, printmaking, and mixed media. Through these creative practices, I blend technical expertise with artistic expression to create hand-drawn illustrations, limited-edition screen prints, book illustrations, mono-printed imagery, surface designs, and layered collage pieces rich with nostalgic storytelling.
I earned a Master of Arts degree and built my professional career working with corporations, startups, marketing agencies, and sign companies, developing expertise in graphic design, illustration, branding, print production, and visual communication. These experiences continue to influence my artwork, allowing me to merge thoughtful design with meaningful storytelling.
As the founder of Imagine Bee Studio, I am honored to share the same encouragement and creative spirit that Bee shared with me. Through artwork, workshops, and creative experiences, my goal is to help others slow down, reconnect with their creativity, and discover their own unique voice and story through art.

Bee’s Story
Beatrice Moss, an Inspiration and the Story Behind Imagine Bee Studio
Beatrice Slater Moss—known to family and friends as "Bee" and lovingly called "Mimi"—was the inspiration behind Imagine Bee Studio. She was a creative spirit who believed that art could be found everywhere and that creativity flourished when shared with others.
From an early age, Mimi encouraged me to explore the world around me through making. Together, we experimented with sewing, painting, drawing, stamping, printmaking, and a variety of creative materials. She taught me to see beauty in everyday objects, find inspiration in nature and memories, and approach creativity with curiosity and joy.
More importantly, Mimi believed in the power of connection. She built friendships through creativity and welcomed others into the creative process, inspiring imagination, learning, and encouragement. Her belief that art brings people together became the foundation for what Imagine Bee Studio represents today.
One of Mimi's favorite beliefs was simple yet powerful:
